ABOUT OUR AUSSIEDOODLES

The Aussiedoodle is a cross between a Poodle and an Australian Shepherd or “Aussie”.

Aussies are a very popular medium sized herding breed known for their eagerness to please, trainability, their attachment to their owners, and beautiful coat patterns & colors. They participate in many different sports and are great crowd pleasers!

Poodles are a medium-large sized breed. Originally bred for duck hunting/retrieving, they’re recognized for their intelligence (ranked as the 2nd smartest breed in the world), their cute curly-coated looks, and being great family dogs.

Both our Aussie and Poodle are Standards (meaning full sized) so our Aussiedoodles will be around 35lbs-55lbs when full grown. Not only are they adorable but they also have a reputation for being hypoallergenic because of the Poodle in the mix!

When bred correctly, mixed breeds tend to overall be healthier dogs that eliminate breed specific health concerns (Like Aussies that are known to have eye problems when they become older) they also tend to take on the best characteristics and qualities from each breed in their mix. I can guarantee that with enough love and patience your Aussiedoodle will be a very cute, goofy, smart, fun-loving pup!

The parents have grown up in our home since they were pups, are kept well groomed, and on healthy diets. We feed our dogs the Acana Red Meat Formula mixed with Raw Food to keep their coats shiny and guts healthy! They accompany me on hikes daily with my dog walking service (Muddy Paws NW Dog Walking) and are friendly & so gentle with the puppies.

The majority of Doug and Juniper puppies will be primarily black and have white markings. This is due to the genetics - Doug being solid in markings and Juniper’s darker gene being dominant. The contrast of black and white on the puppies never fails to be beautiful. Although sometimes Juniper surprises us with a couple Blue or Muddy Merles in the mix!
